What does Content Department do?
We are a Sydney video production and creative studio. We plan, film and edit brand films, corporate, event and product video, social media video and YouTube content, and we make animation, photography, content strategy and branding in house. One team handles the brief, the shoot and the edit.
Where are you based, and do you work outside Sydney?
Our studio is in McMahons Point on Sydney’s lower North Shore, ten minutes from the CBD. We film across Sydney, from the CBD to the Northern Beaches and Western Sydney, and we travel interstate when a job needs it.
How much does a video cost?
Every job is quoted up front, after a short call, as a fixed price. The main things that move the cost are how many shoot days it needs, how many people are on camera, locations, animation, and how many versions you need for different platforms. If a smaller package does the same job, we will say so.
How long does a video take to make?
It depends on the scope. A videographer for a day can be booked at short notice, while a brand film with scripting and a shoot takes longer. Your quote includes the delivery date before anything starts, so you can plan around it.
Do you write the script and plan the shoot?
Yes. Every project starts with the brief and the idea, then the hook, the script and a shot list, before anyone picks up a camera. If you already have a script, we will work from it.
Can you make content for social media?
Yes. We plan and film social media video in batches and cut every piece for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and LinkedIn. Our free social media hooks library shows how we plan the first three seconds.
Do you have your own studio?
Yes. We have a 5 by 5 metre coved cyclorama studio in McMahons Point with the lighting already rigged, used for interviews, product shots, social content and photography.
