DENZA B5 Leopard

DENZA came to us to expand their content library with a stronger focus on the exterior of the B5 Leopard. Rather than shoot it in a conventional urban setting, we took the beast off road.

The Brief

DENZA came to us looking to expand their existing content library with a stronger focus on the exterior of the B5 Leopard. The brief was straightforward: create a collection of high-quality exterior-focused imagery and promotional content that could be rolled out across their social channels.

Rather than simply shooting the vehicle in a conventional urban setting, we wanted to create something that felt more representative of what the B5 Leopard is actually built to do. So naturally, we took the beast off road.

The goal was to capture a mix of polished hero imagery, detailed exterior shots and more dynamic lifestyle content that showcased the vehicle’s design while placing it in an environment that reinforced its capability.

The Shoot

Our subject for the day was the DENZA B5 Leopard, finished in Juniper Green. It’s a vehicle that looks aggressive and purposeful sitting on the road, but once we got it onto the dirt, it became pretty clear that the styling isn’t just for show. The B5 Leopard is every bit as mean off road as it looks on road.

We took the vehicle away from the city and into the Australian landscape, using dirt roads, bushland and rugged natural terrain to give the content a completely different character.

Rather than overcomplicating the scenes, we allowed the vehicle and the environment to do most of the work. Wide compositions established the scale of the landscape, tighter shots focused on the exterior design language, and dynamic driving sequences helped communicate the size, stance and presence of the B5 in motion.

The result was a content package that showed more than what the vehicle looks like. It gave the audience a sense of what it feels like to actually take one beyond the bitumen.

Juniper Green, Australian bushland and a B5 Leopard off the beaten track turned out to be a combination that simply made sense.

Juniper Green Meets the Australian Landscape

One of the strongest elements of the shoot ended up being the relationship between the B5 Leopard’s Juniper Green finish and the Australian environment surrounding it.

Australian bushland naturally carries a huge range of muted greens, eucalyptus tones, warm earth, sandstone, dry grass and deep natural shadows. Juniper Green sits beautifully within that palette.

Instead of the vehicle feeling disconnected from its surroundings, the colour allowed it to almost become part of the landscape. Against the dusty roads and warmer Australian earth tones, however, there was still enough separation for the B5 to remain the hero of every frame.

That balance gave us an opportunity to create imagery that felt premium without feeling overly manufactured. The Australian landscape provided the production design for us, with natural textures, changing light, dust, trees and uneven terrain all working together to complement the colour and character of the vehicle.

It was particularly effective during the wider shots, where the Juniper Green exterior could sit amongst the trees and vegetation while the strong geometric shape of the B5 still immediately pulled your eye towards the vehicle.

The Approach

We wanted the finished content to sit somewhere between automotive advertising and adventure-focused lifestyle content.

The vehicle still needed to look refined and premium, but we didn’t want to photograph it like something that was afraid to get dirty. Taking the B5 off road allowed us to showcase both sides of its personality, the considered exterior design and premium road presence, alongside the much more rugged side of the vehicle once the terrain changed.

That gave DENZA a broader range of assets for social media, from clean exterior hero shots and detail imagery through to more energetic content showing the B5 moving through the Australian landscape.

Ultimately, the shoot became a chance to highlight the natural beauty of Australia at the same time as showcasing a vehicle designed to explore it.
